Throughout the season, you’ll receive a variety of heirloom fruit and preserves, grown ecologically with organic inputs and biodynamically-informed management practices.

The harvest of fresh tree fruit is typically compressed to late Summer/Fall. Your spring shares will include fresh fruit as well as preserves made from our orchard. Preserves are occasionally made with our own honey, so please specify if you are VEGAN when signing up and we’ll be happy to make accommodations.

Depending on the Portland weather (heat-domes and ice-storms, for example) the fruit you get will vary slightly year to year. For example the dry spring and heat dome in the Willamette Valley in 2021 gave us a bumper crop of stone fruit, but devastated our raspberry and blueberry crops.

As our trees mature, you will see more varieties added to the list. For the complete list of all the specific fruits and varieties we grow, see the link above.

In general we harvest the following crops, starting in mid-June and going through mid-November:

Rhubarb ‘Victoria’

Raspberries ‘Heritage’

Currants ‘Jostaberry’

Blueberries ‘Duke, Elliott, Bluecrop, Chandler, and Bluegold’

Plums ‘Beauty, Shiro, Santa Rosa, Superior’

Apples ‘ Discovery, Granny Smith, various heirloom varieties (add link)

Figs ‘Brown Turkey’

Pears ‘Bartlett, D’Anjou’

Asian Pears ‘Kikisui, Nijisseikii’

Grapes ‘concord’

Preserves: Jam, Apple Sauce, Chutney, Elderberry syrup and fruit butters (sweetened with honey, agave nectar or sugar)

  • No, the CSA is a full-season subscription. But if you are going to be out of town for one or more of the pick-up dates, the best thing is to arrange for someone — a friend or family member — to pick up your fruit while you are away. Just tell them to provide your name when they come to the pick up location.

  • Once the CSA begins, it is your responsibility to pick up your share each week. If something comes up and you miss a pick-up, you must call or text before noon the following day, to arrange to come to the farm and pick up your share.

  • Depending on the crop and time of year we may have additional fruit or flowers available for purchase please send us a text/email message and we can add it to your share prior to pickup.

  • While strawberries are delicious they require more labor and inputs than we have to give them. They do not make economic sense on this small a scale.

2024 CSAs are available.
